Top 10 Denver Skiing Resorts

"Echo Mountain"If you enjoy skiing, there are many ski resorts in and around Denver, Colorado that you can visit. Most of these ski resorts are within 70 miles of Denver, and can easily be driven there by your rental car in a few hours.

Echo Mountain

Echo Mountain is the closest ski resort to Denver, and is only 35 miles from the downtown area. It is located in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Echo Mountain is one of only two resorts in this area that will allow you to ski at night. The base elevation of Echo Mountain is 10,500 feet and it has a vertical drop of 660 feet. There are three lifts at this ski resort, and 15 different trails for you to ski on. They open in December and typically stay open until the end of April. They average 250 inches of snow per year.
